JSID Kisaragi Juku
Wefre delighted that so many doctors from throughout Japan have applied to participate in the JSID Kisaragi Juku, which will be held from February 11 (Thursday) to 13 (Saturday), 2010. The Committee conducted an impartial screening and selected the 40 participants shown below. The JSID Kisaragi Juku is a seminar aiming at promoting dermatological research by providing learning opportunities to promising, enthusiastic young researchers throughout Japan. Until now, the JSID has not offered its young members any intensive seminars in which the participants are able to stay in one place, deepen personal exchanges and engage in animated educational discussion.
Yoshiki Tokura has said that the most important issue for him during his three-year tenure as Chairman of the Board of Directors is to foster young dermatological researchers. Fortunately, it has become possible to hold the three-day JSID Kisaragi Juku in Okinawa in 2010. The JSID Kisaragi Juku will not simply provide a place of learning to its young members: The tutors and other participants are also determined to seriously inspire and foster its young members.
Deepening personal exchanges will form the foundation of the seminar. Establishing long-lasting friendships among young members is the ideal of the JSID. The JSID has selected associate and assistant professors who are active in research and who have achieved excellent results from throughout Japan as members of the committee for the young membersf seminar.

JDS Impcat Factor 2008: 2.973
|
The impact factor for the JDS in 2008 was the highest ever: 2.973, which is very close to 3. The JDS is in eighth place among the 43 dermatological journals and has become a very well recognized journal of dermatology. The average period between the acceptance and publication of an article is a very short 3 to 4 months. We would like to encourage our members to keep contributing to the journal.
